Cast Bios

David Rothstadt (Franklin) is extremely glad to have another chance to grow his beard to perform once again as Franklin for a brand new audience. A recent Rutgers graduate, he spent the past four years appearing in roles such as Mr. Bingo (America 20XX, FringeNYC ’08), Mr. Marmalade (Mr. Marmalade), Axel Magee (Don’t Drink The Water) and Bob (Beyond Therapy) all the while writing and performing sketch comedy with quite a few members of this cast & crew under the name Wacky Hijinks.  He is forever grateful for all the support his family and friends have given him throughout the years in all his endeavors...except for the time machine idea. No one got behind him on that one, and in the year 2015, they'll all see just how wrong they really were.

Big Rich Armstead (Jeremiah / Devon McClane / Zipperface) is a Black actor aspiring to be a PAID Black actor *wink-wink*. His favorite roles include Oscar Madison (The Odd Couple), Hud (Hair), Rev. Hightower/Mrs. Taylor (Batboy), and TonTon Julian (OOTI). Big ups to all you wonderful people who took the time to support our show, THANK YOU!!! We love you all. All my love to the I AM, The Fam, my peeps, and those of you who have shared the stage with me. You are the butterflies on my tree. He can be contacted via e-mail here.

Anthony Younes (The Alley Cat / Various / Zipperface) Meow meow meow meow meow meow. Meow meow meow. Matthew Herron (Hobo #1 / Reporter #2 / The Chief / Zipperface) wrote this bio under duress. Now can he please have his dog back? You can keep the children.

Jon Bershad (Hobo #3 / Reporter #3 / The Priest / Zipperface) is thrilled to be a part of Zipperface!!?!, mostly because he thinks the script is just fantastic. He has been in a whole bunch of shows (both good and bad) in many places (both of consequence and not). Some of his favorite roles include Berger (Hair), CB (Dog Sees God), and Constitution in the show America 20XX in last year's Fringe. He is also a graduate of Rutgers University's sketch comedy group Wacky Hijinks. Jon wants to thank the amazing cast and crew and the amazing people who help him unwind after the amazingly long rehearsals with the amazing cast and crew.

In between working shifts at the liquor store and the taste-testing plant, Patrick J. Dixon (Harry Shine / Zipperface) is a member of the College Avenue Players of New Brunswick, NJ, having appeared in The Importance of Being Earnest, Mr. Marmalade, The Pillowman, and Psycho Beach Party, among others. He would like to thank everyone involved in the production of Zipperface!!?! for giving 100% and showing some serious hustle, and his family who have always encouraged and egged him on.

Andy Wolf (Brewster Harris / Zipperface) received his BFA, not in Actoring, but in Visual Arting from ol' Mason Gross School of the Arts! As of yet, this degree has had little effect on the course of his life. Andy is, however, pleased as punch to be a part of Zipperface!!?!..., and wishes to thank the rest of the production staff and the wonderful cast for their dedication, as well as his friends and the fam for all their support.

Jennifer N. Nelson (Mayor Angela Harris) is thrilled to be a part of the Fringe Festival. She has been featured in such shows as Side Show, Les Miserables, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Ugly Duckling, The Wiz, Carosel, Annie, Scrooge, Once Upon a Mattress, Arsenic & Old Lace, and many more. Julia Hebner (Lizzie / Various) is honored to be working with such a talented cast and crew and is also thrilled, after playing a naked crack-head in Bug, to finally play a role that is really exemplary of her own personality. She also speaks Chinese. Hire her!

Production Bios

RBW Comedy (producers/writers) is the writing team of Jon Bershad, Dave Rothstadt, and Andy Wolf. After meeting at Rutgers University, the three bonded over a common writing sensibility, developed through lifetimes spent with similar geographic locations, socio-economic status, and Jewishness. Throughout college, they worked together in a sketch group, magazine, band, comic anthology, and finally on a full-length musical born out a conflicted love/hate relationship with the modern Broadway extravaganza. But, of course, if you're reading this, you've already heard about that part.

Gregory Bing (director) is thrilled to be directing Zipperface!!?!..., and truly hopes that you all enjoy it as much he enjoyed directing it. Gregory Bing is from New Brunswick, New Jersey where he is heavily involved with the local theater community as an actor, writer, and director. Over the last several years, he has directed plays such as Bug, The Pillowman, Psycho Beach Party, and segments of the 2008 RU On Stage. Gregory is returning to the Fringe Festival this year as a director after last year appearing in America 20XX as Red State/Blue State. He would like to thank all of the talented performers, crew, and writers of Zipperface!!?!... who have made this one of the most rewarding productions for him to date.

Zachary "The Wisedog" Wiseley (musical direction, arrangements & additional music) is ...what's that word? -- to be making his NYC debut by reprising his role as McTeeth in the 2009 production of Z-Face:THM. Don't let his increasingly uninspiring degree in Journalism from Rutgers University fool you: he's a troubador (and a robot) at heart. Working on this show with the brilliant RBW Comedy team has been and continues to be a high point of this under-achiiever, wanna-be hobo's life. After Zipperface!!?!, the Wisedog will appear as musical director for Society Hill Playhouse's production of The Kids Left, the Dog Died, Now What? in Philadelphia.

Colin Gallo (stage manager) studied at Juliard. But not the Juliard you know. Suck it!

Nadia Swanson (choreographer) is a recent graduate of Hofstra University where she recieved a B.A. in dance and a minor in anthropology. She has worked with Robin Becker, Karla Wolfangle, Oliver and Terri Steele, Paul Matteson, Ezra Caldwell and studied choreography with Martha Clarke. She would like to thank the cast and crew of Zipperface!!?! for this oppurtunity and her friends and family for always supporting her.

Janine Dauguste (assistant choreographer) is a recent graduate of Rutgers University where she received her BA in both Art History and Theater. She is excited to be part of Zipperface!!?! and is very thankful for the opportunity to work with such a talented cast and crew! She would like to thank her Mom and Jimmy for all the rides. Rock on!
